Objectives
ASBU issues a large number of printouts and publications, both periodically and non-periodically, with the objective of:
Informing Arab radio and TV professionals about the activities, experiences and realizations of ASBU
members.
Providing academic institutions specializing in information and communication with sources of reference on Arab radio and TV organizations and informing them about ASBU activities, projects and accomplishments.
Reporting new technological developments to help Arab broadcasters keep up with
them.
Documenting relevant radio and TV meetings, seminars, studies and research
work.
Translating major foreign literature and research related to the radio and TV
sector.
To meet these objectives, the Arab States Broadcasting Union issues a specialized review, "Arab Broadcasters (Al Idhaat al Arabiya)" to address radio and TV related issues in the Arab World, inform readers about the situation in this sector, discuss means of promoting its activities and provide reference-sources for the use of broadcasters, planners, innovators, academics, researchers and journalists.
