Arab Festival for Radio and Television
The Arab Festival for Radio and Television is organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union once every two years in Tunisia, in cooperation with the country’s two radio and TV corporations. the festival’s objectives are to contribute to the development of radio and television production and upgrading its quality, in addition to monitoring serious and innovative trends in Arab radio and television production in order to encourage the development of the Arab creative energies in this field. The Festival mainly includes the following activities:
A - A contest for television programs, comprising four types of programming in two categories:
- Main contest for television programs produced by ASBU active and participating members,
- Parallel contest for television programs produced by private Arab television networks and public and private production companies.
B - A contest for radio programs of three types of programming, which are radio programs produced by ASBU member corporations, private Arab radio stations and private Arab production companies.
C - Seminars and workshops to discuss issues of radio and television production.
Traditionally, a television and radio programs market is also held on the margin of for member corporations, television and radio private networks and production companies.
