The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) has announced the postponement of the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival to September 21–24, 2026. The event was initially scheduled to take place in June.
This decision comes in light of the current situation in the Arab region, particularly in the Middle East and the Gulf, and the resulting uncertainties and broader implications. In response, several major events planned for the coming summer across the Arab world have also been rescheduled.
Moving the Festival to September is expected to encourage wider participation from ASBU member organizations, while also attracting a larger number of Arab and international guests and participants.
Despite the change of dates, preparations for the new edition are continuing steadily through the relevant committees, with the aim of ensuring a successful event and further strengthening the Festival’s visibility and impact.
