ASBU covers for its Member Corporations the 78th session of the UN General Assembly

 Following its annual plan to cover major events inside and outside the Arab region for the benefit of its Member Corporations, the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) is currently covering major meetings of the 78th Session of the United Nations’ General Assembly (UNGA 78), held in New York, at the United Nations headquarters from 18th to 26th September. 

ASBU Director General, Engineer Abdelrahim Suleiman, heads ASBU’s news and engineering team who ensures the live broadcast of Arab leaders’ speeches and produces daily news summaries that include briefs of the General Assembly’s work sessions, high-level meetings and accompanying activities, highlighting hence the Arab presence.
ASBU team in New York daily informs Members in advance of the schedule of the Arab officials’ speeches through communicating with the Arab News and Programs Exchange Center and ASBU Member Corporations via WhatsApp.
 It is worth noting that the current session of the General Assembly is of special importance, as it is held under the title “Rebuilding Confidence and Reviving Global Solidarity” with the aim of strengthening joint work towards achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
