Exchange of sports packages
ASBU members participate on a regular basis in a weekly sports exchange scheduled to take place on Saturdays and Mondays.
Part of the members prepare their items for the week on Thursday and Friday to be pooled in the Saturday package for the Mideast and Gulf areas, while the remaining members submit theirs on Saturdays and Sundays to make up the Monday package for the Maghreb
region.
ASBU members also provide within their daily news exchanges some sports items to be presented all along the week whenever a sports event takes place.
The two (2) weekly sports exchanges recorded positive results during the period extending from 1/1 to 31/8/2002, after a decreasing trend noticed during 2000 and 2001.
