Closing ceremony of the 19th session of the Arab Festival of Radio and Television


The 19th session of the Arab Festival of Radio and Television came to its end on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Opera Theater of Tunisia’s City of Culture, in the presence of Mr Mohamed Zinelabidine Tunisian Minister of Cultural Affairs and several Arab Ministers of Information, in addition to Arab and foreign artists and media representatives. This closing ceremony was marked by the award of the festival prizes in several specialties of radio and television.

The closing ceremony of the 19th session of the Festival was highlited in its first part by the Syrian artist Aboud Barmada with the Orchestra of the Tunisian Radio under the direction of Maestro Nabil Zammit. The Syrian artist interpreted several songs from the Syrian heritage including "Yamorrou Ajaban", "Ya Bahjat Arrouh" followed by "Baydha", "Kaddouka Al Mayyass" and "Al Ain Moulaytin" with a dance performed by the group "Rijal Al Hara Assouriyya".

It was up to singer Soufia Sadok to take the stage of the Opera Theater to perform a series of her best-known songs to delight a conquered audience including "Wtahla Allayali", "Fih Iih", "Min Al Ghorba Mallina”, then honoring the great Syrian singer Sabah Fakhri by performing one of his most famous songs "Ebâathli Jawab" before ending her performance by singing "Yhabbel" and "Ah Ya Khlila" of Saliha.

It should be recalled that the 19th session of the Arab Festival of Radio and Television held from April 26 to 29, 2018 came under the theme "Supporting the Arabity of Al Quds".
