Meeting: Solidarity with Arab Al Quds, Capital of Palestine



The Arab Radio and Television Festival hosted on Friday, April 27, 2018 a meeting on "Solidarity with Al Arab Quds capital of Palestine", under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Assaf, Palestinian Minister of Information, and in presence of Cheikh Mohamed Hussein, Mufti of Al Quds, and a large number of senior Arab officials.

The meeting began with the projection of the documentary "The Battle of Portals ... Victory of the Will", which illustrates the epic of the Palestinian people's resistance and its victory against the occupier, by portraying the struggle fought by Palestinians against the installation of obstacles and electronic gates at the entrance of Al Aqsa Mosque, a fight that lasted more than two weeks and ended with the victory of the Resistants.

"I want to thank Tunisia and the Tunisian people for hosting the Palestinian issue". It was with these words that Cheikh Mohamed Hussein, Mufti of Al Quds opened this meeting after the projection of the documentary. He reviewed historical landmarks and religious evidence proving the Arab identity of Al Quds and its undeniable status as the eternal capital of Palestine, while delivering his testimony on the bloody events and atrocities committed by the occupiers against the Palestinian people which he personally lived during the month of July 2017.

Sheikh Mohammed Hussein made call on Tunisian and Arab journalists to visit Palestine and its capital, Al Quds, as a sign of solidarity with Palestinian people so that it remains the privileged destination for all Arabs despite the colonization.

In his speech, Mounir Daghoub, a Palestinian activist, stressed the important role of the Arab media especially through the Arab Festival of Radio and Television in keeping the Palestinian cause the major preoccupation of the Arab media while emphasizing the decisive role of social networks and Palestinian and Arab media in covering the atrocities committed by the occupiers against the Palestinian people.
